Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills for the first half of fiscal 2017 were mailed in July and are due on Monday, October 3. The collector’s office will be open October 3 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. You may also pay your bill online at the Tax Collector website, or by mail.
If you own or recently purchased property in Bernardston and you did not receive a bill, please contact the Collector’s Office.
The amount of your tax bill is determined by the Board of Assessors. If you have any questions about the amount of your bill, please refer to the back of the bill or contact the Assessors’ office at 648-5407.
We are pleased to announce new, expanded office hours that now include evening hours. The collector’s office is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9-12 and on Wednesday evenings from 6-7.
We’re pleased to announce that tax bills can now be paid by credit card during office hours at town hall. Please note that if you choose to pay with a credit card, you must pay all fees charged by Unibank and the credit card companies. The fees can be substantial.
